Our Kids Klub members participate in skill streaming groups. Subjects that are discussed on a regular basis are the following:
- anger control
- good decision making
- the definition of a bully
- getting along with others
- real friendship
- sharing
- self control
- feelings
- alternatives to aggression
- accepting consequences
- peer pressure
- goal setting
- problem solving
- positive self esteem
Within the group, modeling and role-play are utilized, and the members identify and discuss what they have seen. Sometimes a current issue or conflict can be approached in the same manner with the members discussing solutions and/or alternatives.
Child Care Alliance believes that constant exposure to these types of life lessons equip’s our members to better navigate throughout their lives
